Program Spotlight:
Workforce Readiness
The “Quest for Success” workforce readiness program provides our high school students with amazing opportunities and experiences to prepare them to be competitive in the workforce. In addition to students taking online career courses through our virtual reality program, we also partnered with Fulcrum Adventures to provide team building activities. Through this partnership, students gain the self-confidence needed to work through tough challenges, graduate from high school, find a career that they love, and become service-learning minded citizens.

Student Spotlight: Meet Alfredo
Alfredo is a twelfth-grade student who successfully completed two years of the “Quest for Success” program. He is looking to go into a career in teaching and is also interested in the catering industry. He has completed both the culinary arts and hospitality online courses through the virtual reality career exploration program made possible by our partnership with Transfr and funding from the Department of Labor. Now, he’s using his experiences to support and mentor students entering the “Quest for Success” program, encouraging them to dream and get after their goals.

In 2022, we marked the 20th anniversary of California’s Proposition 49, which is the largest and most robust expanded learning infrastructure in U.S. history. Championed by ASAS founder Arnold Schwarzenegger, Prop 49 has dedicated an estimated $6.77 billion to support school-based expanded learning programs across the state of California.
