About Us
After-School All-Stars is one of the country’s largest nonprofit organizations working to close the opportunity gap for low-income youth. Our mission is to provide year-round comprehensive programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life. Founded in 2015, our chapter reaches more than 800 students at 7 sites across the Tampa Bay area.

Celebrating Leadership, Supporting Students
Executive Director Joe Mangione was honored with the Tampa Bay Lightning Community Hero Award, recognizing his leadership and impact in expanding opportunities for young people. Along with the award, ASAS Tampa Bay received a $50,000 grant to continue delivering programs that help students learn, grow, and thrive.

Success extends beyond the classroom, and that’s why After-School All-Stars develops programs that strive to inspire long-term career planning, ensure financial literacy, increase student graduation rates, and provide guidance for enrolling in college and/or career training programs.
Now in its third year at our chapter, the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) continues to empower Tampa students as leaders and changemakers.
