About Us

After-School All-Stars is one of the country’s largest nonprofit organizations working to close the opportunity gap for low-income youth. Our mission is to provide year-round comprehensive programs that keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life. Founded in 2014, our chapter reaches nearly 2,100 students at 17 sites across Newark, New Jersey.

Supporting the Whole Child

With the support of our partners, our diverse enrichment opportunities now include coding, robotics, music production, acting, graphic design, and financial empowerment for both students and their families.

These innovative collaborations empower students with skills, creativity, and career preparedness. By broadening our enrichment horizons, we aim to equip our scholars with the tools they need, not only to succeed academically, but also to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

Student Spotlight:
Meet Treasure

We recently expanded our student ambassador program to numerous sites, enabling more scholars to leverage their leadership skills. Treasure, a newly inducted ambassador, says: “Being a student ambassador motivates me to become something better in life when I grow up, and it also makes me feel like I have more responsibility.”
