Student Spotlight: Meet Yadiel

Yadiel joined ASAS Orlando as a sixth grader. Initially, he struggled with frustration, altercations with peers, and declining grades. Our team provided him with guidance and support, quickly recognizing his boundless potential and inviting him to become a member of the Youth Advisory Board, where he found his voice as a leader.

In seventh grade, he attended All-Star Leadership University and connected with peers from across our national network to develop ideas and strategies to better his community. This experience inspired Yadiel to organize food drives for families in need and coordinate gift baskets for pediatric patients at Nemours Children’s Hospital. Now in eighth grade, Yadiel is a role model to his peers by consistently demonstrating leadership through service. He hopes to return to All-Stars as a counselor and mentor future students to use their voices to make positive change.
