With student participation growing rapidly at our Cleveland chapter, we made a strategic decision to launch a team-based leadership model designed to enhance peer mediation, teamwork, and student-led decision-making. Enabling students with the opportunity to work in teams encouraged collaboration, strengthened listening skills, and fostered a culture of inclusivity—where every voice is heard and valued.
The results have been remarkable: students are taking greater responsibility, refining their conflict resolution and adaptability skills, and working together to achieve goals. In addition to strengthening teamwork, this student-driven approach is equipping young leaders with essential life skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom.
