Now in its third year at our chapter, the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) continues to empower Tampa students as leaders and changemakers. Through hands-on experiences like meeting legislators in Tallahassee, attending All-Star Leadership University, and leading impactful service projects, YAB members (aka yabbies) are shaping their futures and creating real change in their communities.
This year, we expanded the YAB model to our Woodson site, reinforcing our commitment to youth leadership across the region. Here, yabbies are playing a key role in sustaining Woodson’s food pantry, ensuring families have reliable access to essential resources.
At other sites, our YAB members are taking the lead on service projects like beautifying schools, tutoring younger students, and organizing holiday activities for future All-Stars in K-2nd grade.
As our Youth Advisory Board grows, so does its impact. These young leaders aren’t just preparing for the future—they’re building a better one right now.
